Hakim denies assassination attempt

Office denied the head of the Islamic Supreme Council in Iraq Ammar al-Hakim, on Tuesday, the latest victim of an attempted assassination in Diyala province.
BAGHDAD / Obelisk: Office denied the head of the Islamic Supreme Council in Iraq Ammar al-Hakim, on Tuesday, the latest victim of an attempted assassination in Diyala province, noting that al-Hakim, originally did not go to the province.
He said al-Hakim's office in a statement seen by "obelisk", "spotted in the recent publication of false news in some social networking sites for the visit of Mr. Ammar al-Hakim to Diyala province and his convoy was attacked by the other."
The Information Office of the Sage and denounced what he called "blatant targeting the deployment of misleading and false news," adding that "wise comforting families of the victims who have fallen martyrs of the terrorist bombing that targeted the Khan Bani Saad, the affected area and shared their pain and distress."
He said the Information Office statement that "al-Hakim did not go to Diyala province," he said, adding that "this news completely baseless," calling on the media to "careful and cautious to publish the news and make sure the official channels represented the views and political figures."
It is said that a number of social networking sites that handled news of exposure head of the Islamic Supreme Council in Iraq Ammar al-Hakim's convoy during his visit to the province of Diyala to offer condolences to the victims of the bombing of Khan Bani Saad.
