Carter in Saudi Arabia to reassure king over Iran agreement

US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter has arrived in Saudi Arabia to allay the kingdom’s concerns over the nuclear agreement reached between Iran and the P5+1 group of countries reached last week in Vienna, Austria.
On Wednesday, Carter landed in the Red Sea city of Jeddah where he is scheduled to hold meetings with King Salman and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the king’s son and the defense minister of the country.
The Pentagon chief, who flew to Saudi Arabia from Jordan, will return to the Jordanian capital, Amman, on Wednesday afternoon./End/
