Carter in the Kurdistan region of Iraq to discuss the fight against the Islamic state

US Defense Secretary is going to meet with Brzzati the presence of military officials in the provincial government in order to assess efforts to eradicate the militant group. Middle East Online, Pentagon excited to support the Kurds , Arbil (Iraq) - met with US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter Friday President of Iraqi Kurdistan, Massoud Barzani, on the second day of his visit to Iraq in order to assess efforts to fight against the "Islamic state". Carter held shortly after his arrival to Arbil, the capital of the province to meet with Brzzati the presence of military officials in the provincial government. And it accounted for threats suffered by Arbil after a sweeping attack to regulate the "Islamic state", one of the reasons cited by US President Barack Obama behind the Declaration of the United States launched air strikes against the jihadist organization since August 2014. And it implements the international coalition air strikes on a daily basis against the "Islamic state", often in support of Kurdish Peshmerga forces in the war against the jihadists.
At a time across the US Defense Department officials (the Pentagon) lamented the failures of the Iraqi army, which collapsed in front of progress of the "Islamic state" in northern Iraq last year have consistently always praise the Kurds.
Peshmerga troops and managed to force its fighters to retreat in northern Iraq and expanded from the official semi-autonomous border to their area and received international military aid and strengthened their image abroad.
Carter arrived Thursday morning on an unannounced visit to Iraq, the first since he took office last February, it comes as part of a regional tour so far included Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Israel.
In his remarks to reporters before the visit, Carter said that Kurdish forces are "strong and successful ground forces." And said he was looking forward to meeting with Barzani, a veteran leader of the forces fought Saddam Hussein for decades.
In his testimony before Congress earlier in the month, Carter said that "the Kurds model of what we're looking for .. effective ground forces are capable of defending itself can coherent control of the land and preservation."
He held the American minister after arriving in Baghdad for meetings with Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and his Iraqi counterpart Khaled al-Obeidi, and held a meeting with House Speaker Salim al-Jubouri was attended by Sunni politicians and officials from the predominantly Sunni provinces, the most prominent governor of Anbar province Suhaib al-Rawi and a number of tribal leaders in the province.
Carter said Thursday: "We are ready to do more (...) when and if they developed the 'Iraqis' forces are capable and stimulating able to restore and preserve the earth."
The Pentagon revealed Thursday that three thousand military who took over the international coalition led by the United States trained for the first time taking part in the fighting against al-Anbar province, "Daash" to restore the city of Ramadi.
He said ministry spokesman Colonel Stephen Carter, who is traveling in the latter's visit to Iraq, said that "about 3 Alovemn Iraqi military who trained and armed by the coalition involved in the ongoing efforts to recover and gray process."
The visit coincides American minister, with the implementation of the Iraqi forces with the support of the popular crowd, which represents mostly of Shi'ite factions, operations to regain control of the areas controlled by the Islamic state in Anbar province, western Iraq.
It is said that Carter had visited Baghdad before, both from Israel, Jordan and Saudi Arabia to discuss the situation in the region and the war against the "Islamic state" as he would go to Turkey after his visit to Arbil
