The United Nations suspended its health programs in Iraq due to lack of funds

The organization said in a statement that "184 health service has been suspended due to a lack of allocated funds for humanitarian activities."
The statement added that "more than eighty percent of health programs supported by the humane partners are currently suspended, and this extends to a million people directly."
The humanitarian coordinator for the United Nations in Iraq, Liz Grande: "At a time people in Iraq are in dire need us, we abandon them."
International Organization explained that the lack of funds means that half a million children enjoy protection, leading to the risk of a measles epidemic and the return of polio.
