Abadi: International Community Assistance To Iraq Will Lead To Speed Up Defeating Terrorism

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi stressed that the security forces are achieving victories over Daash’s gangs and the bigger assistance of the international community for Iraq will lead to speed up defeating terrorism.
His office said in a statement today that “Abadi met the commander of US forces of the central region, Gen. Lloyd Austin and his accompanying delegation, and discussed with him the victories achieved in the battle against terrorist Daash gangs in Anbar and preparations for the Liberation of the rest areas and the creation of humanitarian aid to the liberated areas in addition to the training and equipping Iraqi security forces and developing their capabilities.
In turn, Gen. Austin praised the success of the victories achieved in Anbar and preparation for the liberalization of the rest of Iraqi cities, reaffirmed US support for Iraq and the Iraqi government headed by al-Abadi in its fight against terrorism. / End
