Closed hundreds of people of Basra, the port Safwan border with Kuwait in protest against the application of customs tariff, threatening to sit open in the event of non-implementation of their demands during the next two days.
A reporter for News Agency (et) in Basra, said that "hundreds of people demonstrated in front of the Basra port Safwan border with Kuwait gate to protest the application of customs tariff," asserting that "the demonstrators blocked the main gate of the port Safwan border."
He added that "the protesters made clear that the application of the customs tariff on goods rate of 5-30%, which called for the central government to apply the law to all of Iraq's ports, not the southern border ports."
He pointed out that "the demonstrators threatened to open sit-in during the next two days in the event of non-implementation of the central government their demands."
