With the launch of demonstrations..Demands to reduce ministries and cancel special grades

Shafaq News / The Integrity Committee member of the Parliament , Aqil al-Zubaidi called on Saturday the federal government and local governments to deal seriously with the demands of the demonstrators.
Al-Zubaidi also called according to a statement, to solve the accumulated problems inherited from previous governments, which relates to the provision of essential services such as electricity, water , jobs, and other basic needs that people need on a daily basis for the sustainability of life.
He stressed on the need not to transfer funds of the federal budget for irrelevant projects that does not affect the lives of citizens directly. does not serve the needs of the people.
He called to reduce the ministries that are not important and cancel special grades which inflated dramatically, and contributed to the depletion of federal budget’s funds, stressing the importance of referring the negligent and the perpetrators of waste public money to the regulators and not subdue this profile to political quotas .
The movement of popular protests have escalated against poor services and corruption in Iraq that came out on Friday, as thousands of demonstrators went out in Baghdad and the southern provinces and required to secure the services and fight corruption.
Activists and citizens in Baghdad , Babil, Dhi Qar, Karbala and Diwaniyah condemned officials in the state who have failed over the years to provide basic services such as electricity.
