President of the Republic announced his support of the Parliament, and is ready to provide all kinds of assistance, and expressed the hope to continue reforms.
BAGHDAD / Obelisk: A spokesman for the President of the Republic Khaled Huani, Tuesday, President Fuad Masum welcomes vote on the reform packages.
This comes after the House vote, during its meeting held before noon Tuesday, unanimously, on his paper reformist government reforms.
Huani explained in a press statement, that "the President of the Republic welcomes the decisions released today by the Iraqi Council of Representatives to vote on the reform package, taken by the government and the parliament that".
He added that "the president declared his support of the Parliament, and is ready to provide all kinds of assistance, and expressed hope in the continuation of reforms."
The Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, issued two days before a series of decisions in the framework of political reform, to absorb public anger rising in recent weeks in the capital Baghdad and several southern cities, and called on parliament for a vote, which is what happened today.
