850 billion dollars stolen by corrupt Iraq

Iraqi oil Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi told the press that talk frequently about corruption and this is definitely a hot topic, asking: "what is corruption? Aho theft and tampering with public money. Or is it wasting because of exchange rules and systems labour, supervision and planning that used State. Or both?
The Minister replied he Islamic Supreme Council headed by Ammar al-Hakim said, adding: "the total financial budgets of Iraq about $ 850 billion, since 2003 and the present day, not to mention other resources must be given to corruption that penetrate into him these numbers through 3 levels.
He added explaining: first, it is the personal corruption that consumes 3% from the sum of these numbers.
Any exploitation of the site of special benefits, the correct estimate, sapped of 25.5 billion dollars.

He added that budgets totaling nearly $ 850 billion over 12 years, without capital, national and foreign investments, would, if trapped, entangled, to several factors including culture and militant actions.
It would mean if injected into markets and production sites and trillions of dollars of value added and generated, and a doubling of new courses, which would repair a society lagging behind or whatever.

And Iraqi oil Minister comes at a time of continuing in Iraq three weeks ago of demonstrations against corruption and lack of basic services, especially electricity, calling for punishment of those responsible. The demonstrators accuse a number of civilian political activists which govern the country of corruption and lack of experience in managing these files
