Diwaniyah-Iraq Press August -21 / August: Thousands of people of the province of Diwaniyah, Friday afternoon, to demand the application of the reforms launched by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi solving the provincial council and local councils, in addition to the dismissal of the governor and his deputies.
The event kicked off amid tight security from street processions amid the province down to the local government headquarters, where security forces cut off roads leading to the scene of the demonstration.
The demonstrators raised slogans demanding the resignation of the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Medhat al-Mahmoud, and expose corruption files to senior government officials, and the application of the reforms launched by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi package. Ended (1)
