Barzani discusses with the implementation of Article 140 Melkert

President of the Kurdistan region Massoud Barzani in the resort of Salah al-Din, on Wednesday, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Ad Melkert and discussed with him the implementation of Article 140 and the role of UNAMI in this regard.
The two sides discussed also the question of the survival of a limited American force in Iraq after the end of the year and the issue of maintaining security in areas disputed by the joint forces.
The statement said the two sides also discussed the three provincial elections in the region in addition to the census year and the role of the United Nations in the vote.
