Presided over the workshop on gender budgets in Erbil ... and the Minister of Planning: our ministry attaches great importance to local development through regional development and the development of good governance allocations

Mr. Minister of Planning Dr. Salman al-Jumaili stressed that the ministry attaches great importance to local development through regional development and discuss the provincial plans and follow up the implementation of the plan projects program allocations as well as the introduction of the directorates of planning in the provinces, which holds many of the planning tasks in addition to the completion of the spatial development strategy for (15) Governorate. The Minister said in a speech during his presidency of the workshop for the preparation of budgets gender-sensitive, held in Erbil for the period 2015 24 to 26 August .. that the ministry signed an agreement with the European Union for the development of good governance in Iraq, depending on the amount of 22 million euro EU grant .. noting that this agreement helped us to finance the local hydration of the provinces in the second phase at a cost of 12 million euros to create a state of the harmonization of domestic development and project objectives document UNDP UN to support good governance in Iraq.
The Minister pointed out that local development is an important level of planning levels and part complement the comprehensive spatial development, which aims to promote public policies and the provision of services and the development of the planning process and implementation at the provincial level as well as increased community participation and decentralization of development management and coordination between the central government and the provinces.
And I saw the workshop, which was attended by Minister of Planning in the Kurdistan region and representatives of a number of international organizations and the head of the Central Bureau of Statistics in the Ministry of Planning and shed many words and offer studies on the development of local areas and how to prepare budgets gender-sensitive program.
