The Ministry of Planning held a workshop deliberative on accelerating the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals in Iraq

Sponsored by the Minister of Planning, Prof. Ali Yousef Al-Shukri, and cooperation with the UNDP to the United Nations (UNDP) Office of the Iraq. The Ministry held a deliberative workshop in the headquarters of the Ministry of Planning in order to diagnose developmental challenges to achieve the Millennium Development Goals and sustainable beyond 2015 and the presence of two undersecretaries of the ministry and senior agent of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and senior agent of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and members of the committee. As well as the former Minister of the planning, Dr. Mahdi Al-Hafiz, and members of the House of Representatives and civil society organizations.
At the outset of the workshop, which was held in preparation for the participation of Iraq in the Arab Forum to be held in next April in the Jordanian capital Amman.
