The statement said that the legal team in the Assembly is working on the study of the draft law in its current form after a second reading, and comment on them, to be sent to the Commission on Human Rights of the Parliamentary concerned with this law.
He pledged Legal Consultation Committee Ali Omar passes the amended version, which guarantees the freedom to demonstrate peacefully, and prevent the reproduction of a new dictatorship, after the lifting of most of the paragraphs punitive contained in the law, and permissions to demonstrate, and the addition of the freedom of the strike and sit-in after this vocabulary disappeared in the text by the Council of Ministers former.
The statement added that the Assembly confirms its intention to involve all organizations, activists and journalists involved in the discussions that the legal team will be fought on any possible observations on the recent amendments to the law, and sent to the Commission on Human Rights in Parliament.
The statement concluded that the Assembly commends the legal cadres and members of the House's efforts to amend the clauses and provisions that were trying to stifle freedom of expression and to prevent peaceful demonstrations in Iraq, and invite them to cooperate with organizations, journalists and activists of the maturation of some texts and amendments, especially as he articular law affect the life and future of all citizens , you do not get to pass without a consensus among the stakeholders.
