Sulaymaniyah / National Iraqi News Agency / nina / A leader in the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan confirmed that the meetings among the Kurdish political parties, did not witness any breakthrough to resolve existing differences on the problem of the presidency of the region, and that the early elections is a strong option to resolve the political problems.
Member of the Leadership Council of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Fred Asesrd said in a press statement that the political parties talks did not experience a decisive progress to resolve the outstanding issues in the region that concerns the issue of the presidency.
He added that despite the slow pace of the meetings among the five parties, but the meeting reached to dead end, and that there is another chance to get all political parties to resolve the differences between them.”
He said that the most important differences are still on the negotiation table, the authorities of president of the region and the mechanism of the election, by the parliament or in a direct ballot in the general election,” noting that the early elections is one of the strong options in the political scene in Kurdistan.
