The judiciary recognizes the existence of "problems" in the money laundering legislative issues

Passed the judiciary, on Tuesday, there were "problems" in the legislative issue of money laundering, and called on Parliament to turn this crime to a felony, while pointing to the existence of a lawsuit concerning the 48 private banks.
He said money laundering judge in the resumption of Rusafa Iyad Muhsin ligature court during a press conference held at the Authority and attended by, the (long-Presse), that "there are legislative problems because the subject of money laundering enters in the field of misdemeanors under Iraqi law," noting that "There is a move at the legislative level to enact a law preventing money laundering crime to a felony and we are waiting for the House of Representatives passed ".
He bandaged, "the arrest of three senior laundering criminals funds and is currently under investigation," adding that "there are 48 suit each belonging to private banks, and the judiciary is responsible for the recovery of funds, but are the responsibility of the Integrity Commission is making great efforts in this regard."
For his part, the President of the Rusafa appeal court judge Jassim Mohammed Aboud Conference, said that "the judiciary to deal with cases in accordance with the evidence is not seen to the identity and background of the accused and take decisions in the light of this evidence and the conviction of the accused are in accordance with the specific punishment."
Abboud said that "the judiciary does not neglect any case brought before him and the judiciary is ready to cooperate with all sides in order to fight corruption and legal means."
The cabinet announced and approved, on Tuesday, (June 30, 2015), agreed on the draft anti-money laundering law and the financing of terrorism, as also agreed to grant allowances to employees of the federal police when their participation combat missions in the event of availability of appropriations, confirmed to proceed with the completion of the inclusion of the field survey social protection, to ensure accurate data base.
