BAGHDAD / Obelisk: American President Barack Obama to receive 10 thousand Syrian refugees starting from next October, according to the White House said, on Thursday evening.
In response to the criticism saying that his administration is not doing enough to help the Syrians from the grinding war in their country, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said that Obama requested the development of preparations "to accept 10 thousand refugees, at least during the next fiscal year," which begins on the first of October .
