President of a parliamentary bloc calls for early elections

Shafaq News / The head of al-Dawa parliamentary bloc, Khalaf Abdul Samad Khalaf called on Saturday to change the electoral law in order to hold early elections.
The head of the parliamentary call bloc called in a statement reported for Shafaq News, to change the election law in order to hold early elections. After the Iraqi people came out in demonstrations to change the political reality, especially with regard to the salaries of MPs and ministers and changing the electoral law and holding elections early on conditions in line with the opinion of the Iraqi street and reducing the number of MPs half the current number, and not to accept members who do not have at least a bachelor’s degree.
He also added that the salary of the MP must be the same salary he receives it in his previous job, who was not a government employee must reactive a salary as his peers, and that an MP must have an experience in the political sphere at least the “five years” and to be at least forty years old.
The head of al-Dawa parliamentary bloc confirmed the need that electing the governors would be by the citizens directly and not through the provincial council because it calls to restrict the governor’s work and control the provincial council work as the governor should be at least forty years old and has a conservative experience of not less than ten years in management.
