Al-Bayati: Abadi renounced British citizenship before his inauguration as prime minister

Agencies - A member of a coalition of law Abbas al-Bayati said the prime minister Haider al-Abadi renounced British citizenship before his inauguration as prime minister.
Al-Bayati said, that "al-Abadi sent a letter to the British embassy before being prime minister, demanding the withdrawal of British nationality", adding that "al-Abadi now retains only the Iraqi nationality."
"The prime minister is sticking to what is stated by the Constitution, but emphasize the presence of officials they have another nationality and this is not a mistake, but the result of the conditions of terror and oppression and injustice in the era of the former regime, which made some people have that migrates and only the nationality of those countries."
