Iraqi Jordanian Egyptian meeting in Baghdad to discuss the implementation of the joint oil pipeline

Detection of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and the Egyptian Minister Tariq Al-Mulla, who is visiting Jordan - to agree on a meeting with Iraq in the capital Baghdad to discuss the implementation of the joint oil pipeline extending between the three countries [Iraq, Egypt and Jordan.
Mullah said that his talks with officials in Jordan "touched on the importance of activating regional cooperation between Egypt, Jordan and Iraq in the next phase and include the implementation of pipelines for oil and gas from Iraq to Jordan and Egypt projects to achieve common economic benefit and optimal utilization of surplus energies of Iraq's production of oil and gas and to benefit of the distinguished geographical location of Jordan and Egypt. "

The Iraq and Jordan signed on the ninth of April 2013 a framework agreement to build the pipeline and up to Egypt, is meant to convey the pipe crude oil from the giant Rumaila field in Basra, to export terminals in the port of Aqaba and down to the Suez Canal.
The first phase of the project to extend the pipeline from Basra until the city of Haditha in Anbar province, then the Jordanian border while the second phase includes extending the pipeline from the Iraqi border to the port of Aqaba.
