Washington is concerned at the decision to open the Green Zone to the public

Twilight News / expressed the US, concern about the Iraqi government's decision to open the "Green Zone", which is located in the center of Baghdad and are subject to high security and there is where the government headquarters and several embassies, to the public.
He said US State Department spokesman, Mark Toner, at a press conference "We have repeatedly expressed our concern about the easing of restrictions" security in the Green Zone, which have long formed the US presence in Iraq.
He added that Washington "will monitor closely the security situation, and if necessary will continue to harmonize the security apparatus" in charge of the security of its embassy, located in the heavily fortified area.
The spokesman pointed out that the Iraqi government informed their US counterparts on a regular basis of its intention to open the Green Zone to the public.
And Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi open the "green zone" in front of the public while maintaining some restrictions.
