BAGHDAD / Sky Press announced member of the Finance Committee parliamentary MP Haider al-Kaabi, Tuesday, for the determination of his committee held a meeting with the Commission on oil and energy parliamentary to discuss the establishment of oil refineries in a number of provinces.
Kaabi said for "Sky Press," that "the import of oil derivatives annually cost the country a lot of money worth millions of dollars," he said, adding that "the committee will discuss the subject of import about 4 million and a half million tons of oil derivatives in the 2016 budget."
"The Finance Committee will hold a meeting with the Commission on oil and energy to discuss the establishment of oil refineries in a number of provinces to make recommendations to the Ministry of Oil for the purpose of bridging the local need of oil derivatives.
The tender document showed that the oil marketing company "Sumo" seeking to buy about 4.45 million tons of petroleum products for delivery in 2016.
