General Electric" Iraq provide turbines for the completion of the construction of a power station in Baghdad

Twilight News / said the company "GE Oil and Gas", listed on the New York Stock Exchange, on Thursday, it's got a request from the Iraqi company, to provide "turbines" gas, in order to complete the construction of a new power plant, card "3 GW", in City Project "New Basmajh" (south-east of Baghdad).
The company said in a statement that the new station will provide all of the capital, Baghdad, and the city of Basmajh energy, and will be able to provide electricity to more than five million homes, the first working station "independent producer", within the framework of a deal between the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity and set Diamond Holding system.
According to the report, "Energy Outlook in Iraq," issued by the "International Atomic Energy Agency," Iraq needs to strengthen its ability to generate power for about 70%, in order to meet current needs, and will need as well as to add about "70 GW", to support the installed generating capacity in the country , by 2035, with a focus on deliveries of high-efficiency, using gas instead of the traditional energy mix, based on fuel burn.
The statement said that "General Electric" will adhere to the provision 8 of the gas turbines, the project will be developed in two phases, able to reach every single 1500 MW.
