Parliamentary Energy: a proposal for new legislation for oil and gas

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) - Commission on oil and energy parliamentary, said that there is a tendency for the Commission to move to draft a new proposal for the oil and gas law in case the federal government delayed sending a draft oil and gas law, which decided to withdraw it from Parliament.
Said committee member Zahir al-Abadi's (IMN), that "the Commission will proceed to formulate a proposed new law on oil and gas in the case of the federal government delayed sending the bill, which has decided to withdraw it from parliament along with 55 other bill."
Abadi said that "the Commission will begin early next legislative term of the proposed law drafted and presented to the Parliament to pass and the resolution of the oil between Baghdad and the Kurdistan region and the differences between the provinces own."
Since the adoption of the Iraqi constitution, such as oil and gas law, the most prominent outstanding issues between Baghdad and Erbil were unable to former House and present to find consensus on a common formula for the oil and gas law.
