Oil expert: the security situation prevents the D joint pipe with Jordan and Egypt

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) - oil expert Hamza Jeweler stressed that the security situation prevents the implementation of a project to extend the joint tube with Jordan and Egypt.
He announced Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tariq Egyptian Mullah earlier, agreed to hold a meeting with Iraq in the capital Baghdad to discuss the implementation of the joint oil pipeline extending between the three countries.
The Jeweler's (IMN) said that "part of the areas that are supposed to pass by the oil pipeline to suffer from terrorist challenges."
Iraq, Jordan, signed on the ninth of April 2013, part of a deal to build an oil pipeline up to Egypt, is meant to convey the pipe crude oil from the giant Rumaila field in Basra, to export terminals in the port of Aqaba and down to the Suez Canal.
