Commission increases a final report to the House of Representatives and Minister of election districts

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) - Independent Electoral Commission lifted, reports to the House of Representatives and the ministers on what has been reached by the results of the discussions held over the past few weeks between the Commission and the Committee on Parliamentary provinces on district councils and district elections.
The Chairman of the Committee of districts and areas in the Commission Kata Zobaie's (IMN) "The Commission held over the past few days three discussion workshops with members of the parliamentary regions in the current session of the previous session and reached three key points constitute the main obstacle to a district councils elections."
Zobaie "The first obstacle is the legislation and legal amending the election law and this is the core of the work of the House of Representatives has to submit a report in this regard to the presidency of the Council, for the elections and financial matters, as well as the body responsible for determining the constituency fees and the proportion of the population in the districts, counties and two Aiqan lifted to Council of Ministers".
Zobaie He continued that "the Electoral Commission Alyy waiting for answers from the Council of Ministers and the House of Representatives regarding the points that the complexity of the implementation of direct elections for the procedures."
Councils and district elections have not taken place in Iraq since 2006 and successively delayed because of disputes over administrative boundaries of some districts and areas in between the provinces in addition to the districts and areas in the disputed areas.
