Blair promised to participate in the war in Iraq before the invasion

British newspaper reported, citing documents, Sunday, that the former British Prime Minister Tony Blair promised the United States to participate in the war on Iraq a year before the US invasion of that country in 2003.
Mail on Sunday focused on a memorandum by US Secretary of State Colin Powell on 28 March / March 2002 to the then President George W. Bush, ahead of a meeting between Bush and Blair at the ranch in Crawford, Bush in Texas.
The newspaper quoted on its website for Powell "on Iraq, Blair will be with us in case we had military operations." Powell said in the note that Blair was "convinced that the two points are a realistic threat, and that success in the face of Saddam Hussein will lead to more success in the region", referring to the defunct Saddam Hussein, overthrown by US-led invasion in 2003.
The newspaper said that the memo and other sensitive documents were part of the electronic butler former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that the US forced it to eliminate detectable messages.
In another clip, Powell assures Bush that "the United Kingdom will follow our leadership in the Middle East", while in the other paragraphs referring to Blair's desire to provide "strategic and tactical lines and the public" to promote public support for the war on Iraq.
