Ministry of Agriculture stresses prevent the import of agricultural crops in support of the local product

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) - Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Ghazi slave stressed that his ministry has developed two paths to protect the local product.
The slave's (IMN) "The first way that the ministry will work to adopt is to prevent the import when there is a local product enough to cover the daily requirement or monthly for the Iraqi people," noting that "the ministry forbid importing tomatoes, potatoes and cucumbers from time to time, and that there is prevent continuously crop sophistication of Zurbatiyah port in Wasit province and port Het in Maysan province because of the abundance of local production. "
He added that the slave "The second way is to support the agricultural sector so-called (input support) includes providing farmers fertilizers, pesticides and mechanization, seeds with higher ranks."
"This latest addition to the support of so-called support agricultural extension, which is an important hub in the development of the agricultural sector," noting that "lending to the agricultural initiative which are interest-free and downloads extra".
He added that "there is a free campaigns carried out by the ministry is to combat agricultural pests and Dubas and Humera rigs and Alsnonh", adding that "any support for the domestic product is to support the Iraqi economy."
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Ghazi slave stressed that the quantities of wheat received by the Ministry of Commerce of farmers amounted to 3200000 tons and that the ministry is seeking to secure the implementation of the food security program for Iraq.
