Parliamentary Energy calls for the Kurdistan region to deliver oil company SOMO

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) - Chairman of the Commission on oil and energy parliamentary Erez Abdullah called on the Kurdistan region of Iraq to deliver oil company SOMO.
He said Abdullah's (IMN) that "the proportion of Iraq's Kurdistan region, as in previous years and 17% of the total revenue, according to Iraq's oil export deal to the province at least 550 000 barrels per day of oil."
"It should be handed over to the provincial oil and Sumo company that the federal government pay the dues of the provincial budget."
He noted that "there are attempts to renew the agreement or developed within the new agreement."
"It will be done through visits planned by the Kurdistan Regional Government to discuss with the federal government to resolve outstanding differences."
"It was discussed the budget and entitlements of the oil companies and the oil agreement with the region in the presence of the Minister of Oil."
The Finance Minister Hoshyar Zebari said during a press conference held at the ministry building that a delegation from the Kurdistan region of Iraq will visit Baghdad soon to discuss the region's share in the budget of 2016 in accordance with the oil agreement.
He stressed that "the Iraqi government pay dues oil companies operating in Iraq late in 2014, while paid off in the first quarter and the second and third quarter we will pay accrued for 2015".
