Jordan announced that he is following with interest the reopening of the border with Iraq and the resumption of exports with him.
The governor of Anbar Suhaib al-Rawi was revealed in 16 of the month of October last for the approval of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, to re-open Trebil land border with Jordan at the request of the local Anbar government, after closing for more than four months before the passenger traffic and trade for security reasons.
The Minister for Industry, Trade and Supply, Jordanian Maha Ali, during her meeting with the President of the Iraqi Business Council Majid al-Saadi and members of the council, said yesterday that "the government is following with the Iraqi side with interest the re-opening of the border between the two countries as soon as possible so as to facilitate the crossing of Jordanian exports, which has been severely damaged as a result of the closure of the borders Center Trebil.
"She added," The Jordanian government is keen to support and remove any obstacles facing investors, "pointing to" take a package of measures to stimulate the various sectors of the economy and enhance its competitiveness and improve the business environment and to enable them to meet the challenges, especially the consequences of regional circumstances.
"In response to a the interventions of the Chairman and members of the Iraqi Business Council, Minister of Industry of Jordan said that "the Iraqi investments in Jordan, the focus of attention and appreciated by the government, which is aware of the challenges faced and other Jordanian factories due to the closure of Trebil border crossing with Iraq, where many of them dependent on the Iraqi market to market their products."
She stressed that "all relevant governmental bodies working in coordination with the representative bodies of the private sector to address any obstacles facing investment projects in various fields."
She pointed out that "the government is also working to diversify its sources of energy and a shift to alternative energy, including the industrial sector and other sectors to reduce the cost production.
