Maliki rejected his dismissal from his post as deputy president of the republic with Iyad Allawi and Osama Najafi within the package of reforms, adding that he "still retains his position as Vice President of the Republic, and that the abolition of this post is unconstitutional."
Maliki accused unnamed major countries of seeking to divide Iraq, and said "the division of Iraq project still exists."
On the fall of Mosul, however Daash during his rule, al-Maliki said that what happened was a plot hatched by international and regional parties, stressing said, "The popular crowd forces are rescued from Iraq and the political process after the fall of Mosul."
