Foreign Minister: Saudi monarch describes relations with Iraq as historic
Foreign Minister Dr. Ibrahim Aciqr Jaafari said that Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdul Aziz stressed during his meeting with President of the Republic Dr. Fuad Masum, the Iraqi delegation on the issue of the Iraqi-Saudi relations, and described it as:-dimensional historical, came during a statement made by His Excellency after the conclusion of summit fourth Arab countries and Latin America, which was held in Riyadh.
HE added that the Saudi monarch stressed the need for cooperation in the face of terrorism and the consolidation of relations between Baghdad and Riyadh, adding that by saying that the two sides focused on the common interests between the two countries, and the need to strengthen bilateral relations and to accelerate the opening of the Saudi embassy in Baghdad as an expression of the development of relations for the better and cooperation in international forums, describing a meeting the President of the Republic Dr. Fuad Masum, and his accompanying delegation with the Saudi monarch as positive and good, where King Salman bin Abdul Aziz emphasized the seriousness with the Saudis to strengthen relations between the two brotherly countries.
He pointed to the need to open a new page in relations between Iraq and Saudi Arabia, indicating saying we must start new pages evolve with the development of events that occupy the region.
Meanwhile, Dr. al-Jaafari said that a summit of Arab countries and South America were identical in all matters and issues, pointing out that the South American country's accession to the Arab countries led to develop an understanding for the benefit of Arab countries, either in the core of the Palestinian cause, or the position of the terrorism and specifically Daash or at the level of addressing the problems that exist in some Arab countries, including: Syria, Libya, and to emphasize the need to adopt a peaceful solution.
He pointed out that the positions of the South American countries were close and identical to a large extent with the Arab countries.
