Minister of Water Resources: we have developed an integrated plan to take advantage of rain water to revive the marshes and the next planting season

Baghdad - INA / The Minister of Water Resources, Mohsen al-Shammari, said his ministry has developed an integrated and well thought out plan to take advantage of flood water to revive the marshes.
He said al-Shammari said in a statement released today, during his visit to the province of Maysan on Friday, said that "the cadres of the ministry and in the whole of Iraq is working and continuous efforts during the current rainy season to take advantage of rainwater and floods and within a broad plan to increase water levels in areas affected by drought during the previous season."
"The rain that fell in the season and we have provided more than one billion m3 and if it continues it will be sufficient inventories for the next agricultural season."
He Shammari said "the cadres of the ministry and its mechanisms work in collaboration with all the service ministries, local governments and in the whole of Iraq in order to control the rain and discharged water in order not to harm the citizens."
And arrived Minister of Water Resources, on Friday, to Maysan province, within a field inspection tour to include all of Iraq's provinces.
