Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to visit Tehran in the current 23 to attend a summit of the Gas Exporting Countries in reference to the warming of relations between Moscow and Tehran. It will be the first visit by Putin to Iran since 2007, where he is expected to meet his Iranian counterpart, Hassan Rowhani.
Iran hosts a forum of gas exporting countries in preparation for the lifting of Western sanctions by next year under the terms of the nuclear agreement, which was reached in July.
