Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has stressed that the current financial crisis in Iraq will end through a multilateral effort, Iraqi news agencies report, revealing that his government is attempting to invigorate various sectors to improve the economy.
Abadi stressed that the government should rely less on oil revenues alone.
A delegation from Erbil is scheduled to visit Baghdad next week. They will be discussing the financial disputes and increasing oil exports.
Along with the Islamic State crisis in Iraq, the country is struggling with an economic crisis created by the falling oil price on international markets.
