Iraqi parliamentary committee criticized the "secret" investment contract crutch gas field

Baghdad, June 6 (Rn) - criticized the Commission on oil and energy parliamentary Monday, the conclusion of the Contracts and licensing of oil in the Iraqi Oil Ministry signed a contract with "Kogas" South Korea to develop the field crutch in Anbar province, in secret and without the knowledge of the Committee on Energy representative.
The committee member said Furat al-Shara told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that "the Commission on oil and energy parliamentary see that there is ambiguity in the signing of the Oil Ministry, through the Department of contracts and licenses to hold investment field crutch gas in the province of Anbar, with Cougar Korean."
Announced that the parliamentary energy commission earlier its intention to cancel the deal of investment field crutch to the problems of administrative and financial harm the country's oil policy.
But the Oil Ministry signed a contract initialed last week with South Korean company Kogas.
Iraq had asked Kogas development of gas field on its own crutch after the company withdrew Kasmonaegas exploration and production of the Kazakh deal Ojarmmayo in the past, after a dispute with local authorities.
Shara added that "such contracts strategy even if the initial contracts is supposed to be seen by Iraqis in a transparent manner through the media and the provincial councils and members of the House of Representatives."
He continued that "Oil and Energy Committee will send a formal letter inquiring person by reason of the signing of this gas field crutch blur, speed, and failure to report the date of signing of the parliamentary committee."
Iraq has signed on Sunday with two end-Turkish, Kuwaiti and South Korea to develop gas fields and Mansuriyah Ceiba.
The agreement was signed Ceiba field located in the oil hub of Basra in the south with my company, "TPAO," the Turkish state-owned and "KEC" Kuwait, and is expected to reach production of the field to 100 million cubic feet per day.
There were a group led by "TPAO" also includes "Kuwait Energy" and "Kogas," South Korean separate contract to develop gas field Mansourieh near the Iranian border in Diyala province, that the production will reach 120 million cubic feet per day.
Iraq has laid the contracts to develop three gas fields last year in the third round since the US-led invasion in 2003.
