BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The transmission of the speech of UN Secretary General representative Ed Melkert was "not accurate" due to an " inexact translation," a statement issued by UNAMI in Baghdad noted today.
The statement, as received by Aswat al-Iraq, added that "the translation did not depend on the prepared Arabic text, which was distributed by the organization."
Melkert made his speech in Baghdad yesterday in a conference discussing the recommendation of the UN Human Rights Council, with the attendance of Premier Nouri Al-Maliki.
The 3-day conference was organized by the support of UNAMI to discuss the Iraqi National Plan on Human Rights.
