initiative, NA will reject

The President of Iraqiya List, Ayad Allawi, said the National Alliance will
not respond to the invitation of the President of the Kurdistan Region,
Masoud Barzani, to discuss the Arbil Agreement. Allawi noted the political
and security situation in Iraq is getting worse, and reached the stage of
tension and abnormality.
Allawi said in a statement on Monday, "There is a last attempt to revive
Barzani's initiative, although I am not optimistic in particular with regard
to the implementation of the partnership."
He expected the rejection and non-responsiveness by the National Alliance
for their completion of the initiative of President Barzani.
Allawi admitted the presence of U.S. and international pressures to complete
the initiative. He said despite all these pressures, NA did not respond to
the initiative.
Allawi hangs on to democracy and its success in Iraq. He pointed out that
the Americans became embarrassed because they faced problems they did not
take into account. The Americans were thinking that they would succeed in
applying a rapid democracy, but they found the opposite.
