Iraqi grain production drive gets results - Minister

An ongoing drive by the Iraqi government to boost domestic grain production has been hugely successful and will eventually allow the war-torn country to become self-sufficient in wheat, according to the country's minister of trade.
Speaking at today's International Grains Conference (IGC) in London, Minister Khairullah Hasan Babakr expressed a desire to reduce the country's dependence on wheat imports, noting that domestic production has surged since the drive began in 2008.
