The governor of the Central Bank of Iraq on the high level of domestic debt during the past two years.
Al-Alak said in a press statement that the ratio of debt to gross domestic product (GDP) is still acceptable, adding that it should not be added that it is still acceptable within international standards.
Iraq is arranging its debts with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), he said, adding that the money that will be generated by the increase in oil prices will be used to cover the deficit and repay debts.
