International monetary economy warns Baghdad to reduce the share of Kurdistan and threatens to cut aid

"The International Monetary Fund will resort to cut its aid for Iraq in the event of non-commitment to grant the Kurdistan Region share of the general budget according to the number of its population.
The decision of the Finance Committee in the Iraqi House of Representatives Ahmad Haji Rashid in an interview with the Voice of America, that despite this request, but is likely not subject to it, likely not to approve the Iraqi budget for the year 2018 in that case.
Rashid pointed out that the recent statements of Vice President Nuri al-Maliki is a kind of softness towards the Kurds, which may force Abbadi to soft towards the Kurds as well.
Rashid said that the pressure of the International Monetary Fund as well as US and German pressure with Maliki's allies will force Abadi to show softness towards the Kurds.
According to the budget laws for previous years, the share of the Kurdistan Region of the Iraqi general budget was 17% of the total, but the government of Abbadi and for the first time reduced to 12.7%.
This comes at a time when Abadi announced that the salaries of employees of the Kurdistan Region will be sent after the audit.
