The Iraqi government agreed on Tuesday to continue postponing repayment of loans to borrowers with interest from government banks.
The Council of Ministers said in a statement received by the Ministry of Information, a copy of it, that "the Council of Ministers held, today, its regular session, chaired by Prime Minister Haider Abadi, and decided during the meeting to expedite the payment of dues farmers who planted the crop for the agricultural season 2017-2018 decision of the Council Ministers No. 370 of 2017 on the payment of their dues ".
He added that "the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 365 of 2016 on the postponement of repayment of borrowers' loans with interest from government banks that have debts to state institutions for contracting or equipment has been approved and paid in light of their debts to state institutions and in coordination with civil authorities. From the date of the issuance of the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 40 of 2016 on 14-2-2016.
He pointed out that "the Council voted to add a new article to the draft law of public holidays and as follows (the day of liberation of the land of Iraq gangs of terrorist advocates corresponding to the tenth of December a national holiday and an official holiday of each year) and the announcement of the Victory Monument to be the official monument of the Republic Iraq, which reflects the championships and sacrifices of Iraqis in the defense of their homeland and security.
