Baghdad on November 25, 2011 - signed by UNDP and the International Organization for Migration agreement to support the analysis project peace and development, a joint project between UNDP and the unity of the analysis of information shared between agencies.
This initiative aims to understand the context and development priorities in the disputed areas in northern Iraq.

It is noted that the Iraqi Constitution stipulates in Article 41 to solve the problem of disputed areas and the related province of Kirkuk and its ownership after the Kurds demanded that the annexation of their province in Iraq, holds a large part of county residents by keeping them in Iraq.
There are also several areas in the province of Diyala, Khanaqin and Jalula and also between the region and the center, and there are Nikhaib in the province of gray between the latter and the city of Karbala, not to mention some areas in Mosul.
