Basra announces three days of mourning in honor of explosions victims

Following an exceptional session held on Friday Basra Provincial Council announced , three days of mourning in the province in honor of victims of explosions that targeted the popular market in Al khamsa Mil region. The council also decided to discharge a number of Security Forces’ officials in the province, Head of Basra council Sabah Hassan Al Bazouni revealed.
First Deputy Speaker Qusay Al Suhail for his part blamed the explosions on parties engaged “foreign agendas”. Terrorist groups, such Al Qaeda and Baathists, targeted Basra citizens to shake security with the imminent withdrawal of US troops, Suhail said. Iraq’s enemies have plans to shake stability, he warned calling on security forces to act firmly with whoever messes with Iraqis’ lives and security.
Al Qaeda network is leading armed attacks southern Iraq, such as Basra’s explosions, to help provinces calling for regions’ establishment to break free of Shiite control, expert in Al Qaeda affairs Mullah Nazem Al Jabouri told Alsumarianews.
