Britain reveals the factors of the deterioration of the Iraqi economy

The British ambassador to Iraq, John Wilkes, attributed the deterioration of the Iraqi economy to several factors, notably corruption, bureaucracy and investment laws.
"Iraq, with all the potentials of natural and human resources, the business environment according to international standards is better in Afghanistan compared to Iraq and even Nigeria with all its challenges and problems," Wilkes said in a video posted by the embassy on its Facebook page today.

"This is unacceptable to all Iraqis and all friends of Iraq, including the United Kingdom, and we want to help Iraq introduce the necessary reforms and implement the projects now."
