Internal trade is defined as the exchange of products, goods and services between the governorate and other governorates within the country's borders.
A number of factors contribute to the prosperity of this type of trade, namely the specialization of governorates with certain products, the uneven distribution of the population and the different distribution of industries and capitals in some governorates.
Domestic trade is an important economic activity. It is a direct contact with citizens 'daily living standards, income and economic levels in general.
It touches on their daily food, commodity, agricultural and other needs, especially the retail trade, which has a direct and daily impact on citizens' income.
It is assumed that the competent authorities in our country work on the development of internal trade in Iraq because of their significant role in the development and increase of growth in the national economy, and should be within the strategy of economic development takes into account the merits and benefits and resources of each of the provinces of Iraq and the economic reality of our country in general.
As some of the provinces are specialized in agricultural products and some industries that can be provided by supporting them to achieve self-sufficiency of our country, and to be the development of plans necessary to improve the quality and what amounts to the global industries.
And some provinces by virtue of their geographical location is characterized as a transit station for various types of goods, products and goods to and from Iraq, which can be invested in an optimal way to regulate the import and export process by entering the raw materials necessary for the local industries and to work to expand and increase marketing and intensify sales in different Iraqi cities, Which needs to develop an integrated plan for the development of transport networks in Iraq, which will contribute to the facilitation and development of internal trade.
The development of internal trade in Iraq will have a great positive impact on the economic situation in our country and in increasing the resources of the general budget. It will ensure self-sufficiency in many commodities and products.
It will raise the living standards of many citizens working in these fields and improve their economic levels and increase.
And the prosperity of internal trade will contribute to the achievement and increase of sustainable development in our country, leading to social and economic stability, which will positively affect the national economy in the long term in general.
The strategy of developing internal trade necessitates working on developing an integrated strategy for the development of agriculture and local industry and working to invest the energies, resources and economic advantages of each of the governorates of Iraq in order to employ them optimally in the strategy of developing and developing internal trade.
It is supposed to work on the investment of the human factor. Some provinces are characterized by population density, which serves as a market for the consumption of products and goods and goods manufactured locally, which can be produced by other provinces.
The success of the strategy of the development and development of internal trade can develop our national economy in general, because of its many positives that can contribute to its development, progress and prosperity.
