President Jalal Talabani on Monday evening , in Baghdad , met with the Oil Minister Abdel Kareem al- Luabi.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to develop the oil sector in Iraq and benefit from its revenues in the reconstruction process.
President Talabani commended the efforts of the Ministry of Oil for the development of oil industry and production . He stressed that the Iraqi people is the owner of oil and gas and a wise plan must be set in order to exploit their revenues for the benefit of all Iraqis.
The President pointed to the importance of the ratification of the draft law of oil and gas in the Iraqi Parliament .
For his part, the Minister of Oil, briefed the President about the work of the ministry and contracts with international companies in the fields of investment, exploration and fields development in different regions of Iraq.
