Education seeks to provide temporary structures in the neighborhoods of squatters and slum

Approved by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers on the allocation of more than (3500) plot of land in Baghdad and the provinces, part of a project to build five thousand school style payment on credit, while the Ministry of Education is considering a project to provide temporary schools "caravans" in the neighborhoods of squatters and squatter areas.
The press spokesman of the ministry, Walid Hussein told the "morning": that the ministry completed the legal and administrative process for the allocation of three thousand and (551) piece of land in Baghdad and the provinces after Asthsalt approval of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in this regard, noting that the Directorate General of buildings and school departments directorates in the provinces still continued to search for available land where the conditions for establishing schools in order to complete the required number for a project of the five thousand school-based payment credit.
He added that more than 28 international companies and local showed willingness to implement the project and submitted their offers to an ad hoc committee set up by the Ministry for this purpose included representatives from the Office of Inspector General and Office of the Minister of Education and the Directorate General of buildings, school and office engineering consultant, and the study of these offers, and submitted to the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, which has not made final approval until now, despite the passage of more than six months after the date of the announcement of the project.
The spokesman to the media that the ministry is implementing an integrated plan for the establishment of school buildings are not centrally by the Directorate of Education, to develop the methods used by the ministry in building schools and educational institutions in Baghdad and the provinces, and the eradication of mud schools and double shifts.
And Hussein, said the ministry had given its directorates in Baghdad and the provinces, the right to contract with domestic and foreign companies specialized in the areas of school buildings, which speeds up the process completed within the terms and conditions agreed and specified period of time.
He stressed that he was allocated a separate budget for building schools for each Directorate in Baghdad and the provinces and by geographical area, without specifying the size of that budget.
Regarding the recently reported, the spokesman that the work continues in coordination with the departments to prepare plans for addressing the phenomenon of school clay, as it will implement the General Directorate of Education, Wasit build 42 schools instead of clay, of which ten schools funded Supreme Council for Reconstruction and 32 schools within the plan of development of regions, as well as the announcement by the Minister Education Mohammad Tamim for initiating the implementation of 60 projects for school buildings in the town.
He disclosed that the ministry is studying the possibility of providing temporary schools "caravans" to revive the squatters and squatter areas where densely populated and high incidence of leakage of their pupils, especially that most of these neighborhoods far from the city center, prompting the ministry to think about finding alternative solutions and temporary to provide an education for the population these regions.
