NAJAF / Aswat al-Iraq: Dozens of supporters of the Shiite Sadrist Trend have demonstrated in the holy city of Najaf in protest to the visit of US Vice-President, Joe Biden, for Iraq, according to a source in the demonstration.
"About 200 supporters of the Sadrist Trend went to the street in Central Najaf's Sadrists Square, to protest against the visit of US Vice-President, Joe Biden, for Iraq," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency, adding that the demonstrators raised anti-American slogans, shouting: "No, No for America."
The Sadrist Trend, led by the young Shiite Clergyman, Muqtada al-Sadr, had called for demonstrations all over Iraq today, in protest to the visit by US Vice-President, Joe Biden, for Iraq, considering the visit as "interference in Iraq's internal affairs."
