The financial advisor in the Prime Minister, Mazhar Muhammad Salih, confirmed on Monday that the new retirement law approved by the parliament will eliminate 40% of unemployment, indicating that there are four million employees between permanent owners and contracts.
Saleh said in a statement reported by "Al-Sabah" newspaper and seen by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "about four million employees between permanent owners and contracts, and about three million retirees receive salaries from the public budget," noting that
"the government and the parliament should provide guarantees for workers in the sector Private sector in order to reduce the demand for the government sector.”
He added, "The new law for retirement will contribute to addressing 40 percent of the unemployment rate that prevails over the next four years, but the law overloads job experiences that cannot be compensated."
